Equipment Rental
Specialty Machines When You Need Them
U.S. Aqua maintains a fleet of marsh excavators and submersible dredge pump systems available for rental. Whether you need an amphibious machine for a specific phase of your project or a dredge pump for a short-term application, our equipment is inspected, service-ready, and backed by our in-house maintenance team.
We offer both wet hire (equipment + operator) and dry hire (equipment only) depending on your project needs. All rental equipment comes with field service support - our team responds quickly to keep your job running because we know your project doesn't stop.
For contractors managing larger civil projects who need specialty machines for a specific scope, rental is a practical option. For everything else, our turnkey contracting services may be a better fit.

A Note About Our Business
Rental Is Part of What We Do - Not All of It
U.S. Aqua started as an equipment company, but we've grown into a full-service specialty contractor. Today, the majority of our work is turnkey project delivery - our own crews, superintendents, and equipment delivering dredging, marsh restoration, levee construction, and pipeline support under a single contract.
Equipment rental remains available for contractors who need specialty machines, but it represents a small portion of our overall business. If you're evaluating whether to rent equipment or hire a contractor, we're happy to talk through both options and help you find the right fit for your project.
Frequently Asked Questions
Equipment Rental FAQ
-
What equipment does U.S. Aqua rent?
U.S. Aqua rents marsh excavators in multiple size classes and submersible dredge pump systems. All equipment is owned, built, or maintained in-house and is available for both wet hire (with operator) and dry hire (equipment only) arrangements. Our marsh excavators feature low-ground-pressure undercarriages for operating in soft soils, marshes, and shallow water. Our dredge pumps are submersible systems compatible with excavator mounting.
-
What is the difference between wet hire and dry hire?
Wet hire means U.S. Aqua provides the equipment along with a trained operator. The operator is on our payroll, knows the machine, and works under our safety program. Dry hire means you receive the equipment only and supply your own operator. Both options include maintenance support from our in-house service department. Most clients prefer wet hire for specialty equipment like marsh excavators because our operators have extensive experience in the specific conditions these machines are designed for.
-
Is equipment rental the main thing U.S. Aqua does?
No. U.S. Aqua is primarily a self-performing specialty contractor delivering turnkey dredging, marsh restoration, levee construction, pipeline support, and amphibious operations across the Gulf Coast and Mid-Atlantic. Equipment rental is a supporting service for contractors who need specialty machines for specific project scopes. Most of our work is delivered as full-service contracting under fixed-price or T&M contracts with our own crews, superintendents, and project management.
-
Does U.S. Aqua provide maintenance support for rented equipment?
Yes. All rental equipment is backed by our in-house service department. We maintain the machines, respond to field issues, and ensure uptime throughout the rental period. Our service team is available around the clock because we understand that your project does not stop. Equipment is inspected and service-ready before every mobilization.
-
Should I rent equipment or hire U.S. Aqua to do the work?
It depends on your project structure. If you are a general contractor managing a larger civil project and need a marsh excavator or dredge pump for a specific scope, rental makes sense. If you need the full scope delivered - equipment, operators, supervision, daily reports, and project management - our contracting services are a better fit. Our team can help you evaluate which option works best during a project consultation. Contact us to discuss your project.
